After a two-year hiatus due to the pandemic, Black Knight is back! Each year our MLS partner, Black Knight, the developer of Paragon, sends their best trainer to Oregon to educate WVMLS members. Whether you are new, seasoned, or require a refresher, we have a Paragon workshop that will help take you to the next level. Seats are limited, reserve yours today!
Paragon Intensive Workshops
Paragon Overview
When: Wednesday | September 21st | 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM
Where: 3451 25th Street SE, Salem OR 97302 Parking: Spots are available in front of the building. Additional parking can be found along Ewald Avenue
What to Bring: Laptop
CE Credit: 0 Hrs
This 3-hour workshop will have two 10-minute breaks followed by a 30-minute lunch. The maximum number of attendees for this special workshop is 45 members. If you are unable to attend please notify us at support@wvmls.com. We will make your seat available to another member.
Property Searches – We will look at how to enter data into the different search fields, a Map Search, Feature Searches and Advanced Search functions (Equals, Does Not Equal, Includes, Does Not Include, Starts With, Does Not Start With, Contains, Does Not Contain and Date Ranges). We will see how to Customize a Search, Save a Search and finding Saved Searches.
Results – We will look at how to work with a Spreadsheet: Filtering, Sorting, Customizing & Saving. We will also look at Emailing & Printing Results to the agents’ prospects and how to add a listing to a Listing Carts.
Available Reports – We will also look the Property Reports available to them and how to make them a Favorite.
Property Report Customization (Field Swapping) – We will look at how agents can SIMPLY customize property reports to give their clients the data they need for their property transaction(s).
Collaboration Center– Buyer & Seller Side Portal
We will explore what Buyers will see when their agent sets them up for Collaboration Center.
We will see how to upgrade a prospect from simple Email Notification to Collaboration Center.
We will see how to setup a brand-new Prospect for Collaboration Center – Buyer Side.
We will see how to setup a property for auto notification – Collaboration Center – Seller Side.
We will run the Preference Wizard for Collaboration Center.

This 3-hour workshop offers lunch starting at 12:45 PM. Class is to begin at 1:30 PM. Two 10-minute breaks are provided during the event. Adding Paragon Connect to your device’s home screen and home page - We'll instruct you on how to add a Paragon Connect icon to your mobile device’s home screen or your non-mobile device’s home page. With this icon on your home screen and home page, you have direct access to your Paragon database using with a single tap. Tap – Tap and you’re in!
Searches, Results, and Results Distribution - We'll explore how to run searches and distribute the results.
Searches – how to run property class searches, map searches, location (GPS) searches, hotsheet searches, open house & tour searches. We will look at how to save a search, load saved searches and how to save a search to setup Collab Center – Buyer Side.
Results – we will review the different types of reports available to agents using Paragon Connect.
Distribution of Results – Email, copy link (Collab Link Share), Facebook, and Twitter.
Buyer and Seller Details and My Info - We will demonstrate how you can monitor your Buyers and Sellers in their real estate transactions.
Buyer – view: Favorites, Possible, Reject, Buyer created Saved Searches & Property Comments
Seller – view Buyer and Agent interest in their property
My Info – New Searches, Upcoming Tasks, Searches Expiring, Listings: Active, Expire Alert, Pending Sales, Sold, New, Listings, and Pending Listings and move
We will also look at where you can see the above information in Paragon Professional.

Collaboration Center – Buyer Side Portal
We will explore what Buyers will see when their agent sets them up for Collaboration Center.
We will see how to upgrade a prospect from simple Email Notification to Collaboration Center.

We will add a listing to a Listing Cart and enabled it for Agent Picks in Collaboration Center.

We will see how an Agent can invoke Agent Preview for their Picky Buyers that want the Agent to screen all listings before they go to Collaboration Center.

We will assign a Listing to a Contact and enable the Daily or Weekly report Emailed automatically sent to the Seller based on Agent and Prospect viewing of their property.
Collaboration Center - Paragon Connect
We will show you how Paragon Connect and Collab Center in Paragon Professional tie into each other to provide a seamless experience on all your mobile devices.
CMA Presentation & Pricing with a Strategy

This 3-hour workshop offers lunch starting at 12:15 PM. Class is to begin at 1:00 PM. Two 10-minute breaks are provided during the event. CMA Presentation Packet using the CMA module
We will review what a complete CMA Presentation Packet looks like.
We will run the CMA Preference Wizard.
We will run the CMA module Wizard to create a complete CMA Presentation Packet.
We will generate and review the just completed CMA Presentation Packet.
Pricing with a Strategy – Using Price Analysis we will look at a Subject Properties, Partially Saved (Unpublished) Listings and Published Listings and find the buyer pools at different price points. During this class, we will go the next step and graph the number of buyer matches at the different price points to visually see the buyer pools. This graph can be given to Sellers so they can choose the initial listing price or what price they want to move to when it is time for a price change. I have an Excel spreadsheet I will share so attendees will have the graphing tool displayed during the class.
About the Trainer:
Gary Arnett, Lead Trainer, Black Knight -
Gary Arnett has been a Paragon trainer since 2004. He has trained Agents, Brokers, Office Admins and MLS Staff Admin functionality for Paragon 1, 3, 4, 5 and complementary Paragon products and 3rd party integration products.
He presents training for new, conversion MLS clients to Paragon and existing MLS client with enrichment training. Gary’s training styles include in-person lecture-style and hands-on style training. Gary creates training curriculum and the materials to present the curriculum.
He also presents webinars for all user types and all Paragon training topics.
Gary provides training with a touch of humor to keep the training light and entertaining while providing a lot of information during his training sessions. Gary travels 25 to 35 weeks a year training Paragon. He shares his love of training with those he trains.
During our COVID-19 “work from home” period, Gary has continued his training activities presenting multiple webinar each day training tens of thousands of attendees using self-created webinars. He has recorded these webinars and they are posted on Paragon’s Help Site.
